The limited edition box sets offer a unique and immersive experience for fans. In addition to the exclusive content, such as holographic stickers, a spray-painted cassette machine, and a cassette tape, the package also includes sets of Augmented Reality (AR) song cards, totaling nine in number. These AR song cards can be assembled like puzzle pieces. When scanned using an AR filter through either Instagram or Artivive apps, the assembled AR song cards come to life, unveiling a captivating island-like environment.

"Fi-Né is preparing to release their highly anticipated album titled 'The Awakening' on June 30, 2023. In addition to the involvement of multiple Grammywinning and GMA-winning instrumentalists and engineers, the album features talented upcoming artists like L8ching and Mandark. It showcases exceptional talent and expertise, exploring the profound connection and empathy between individuals and the broader world, encompassing the universe and all aspects of existence. Delving into the complexities of our modern society, the album poses a thought-provoking question: In a scenario where someone possesses extensive knowledge in literature, art, craftsmanship, and technology, and also struggles with pressing social issues like widening wealth gaps and moral decline, should we opt for embracing progressive technology or seek solace in our roots, reconnecting with our inherent humanity and divinity?

 

 

 

"The Awakening" album seamlessly blends punk rock, electronic, rap-rave, and trip-hop genres, incorporating a few elements of house, R&B, and dub reggae, among others. Fi-Né, with Phil's distinctive and versatile rhythms, Suzy's ethereal vocals, experimental melodies, and sensual R&B tones, creates a truly unique musical experience. Each song in the album unfolds as part of a continuous story, encompassing initial selfawareness, the struggles and casualties encountered along the way, and ultimately, a message of hope. The album's overarching goal is to foster a world free from misunderstandings, wars, and the limitations imposed by time and materialism. It aims to inspire change driven by love, living in a fifth dimension brimming with light and trust. Starting with their debut track "Villain," the robust drum arrangement and resonant bass establish an entrancing momentum, guiding listeners through the album's journey. The song delves into the question of whether pursuing success and fame is the correct choice or if an alternate path is worth considering. Grammy-nominated João leads with a masterful solo on the electric guitar, infusing the track with vitality and strength.

 

The following track, "How It Happened," is a well-structured pop-rock piece with the addition of cello strings, creating a contrast of deep and continuous emotions within the aggressive and pure rock arrangement. "2 of Us" bridges from the previous track's electronic elements, incorporating experimental soundscapes with a touch of industrial flavor. Suzy's ethereal and spatial psychedelic vocals combined with Philip's distinctive and versatile rap rhythms create a contrast that allows Fi-Né to establish a unique musical identity across various genres. "The Awakening" album could be divided into two parts. The first part presents a tense musical atmosphere reflecting doubts and restlessness about human nature and the self. Regardless of location, inner peace seems elusive.

 

Recognizing this inner unrest is the beginning of awakening, as the album's title suggests. The second part of the album features more pronounced and vibrant music, exploring themes of love and relationships.

 

Produced by renowned producer Huang Shao-Yong, "Dancing with a Ghost" magnifies his expertise in electronic sound elements in an R&B context. Interestingly, Suzy incorporates a fair amount of Chinese into the chorus, resulting in a unique blend of Trap Soul and Electronic R&B that's both catchy and experimental. "5th Dimension" adopts a Dancehall-infused offbeat, transitioning into a more House-like rhythm. The lively percussion stands out in this track. Producer Pan Xin-Wei, who also participated in the arrangement, skillfully introduces diverse rhythmic shifts and timely keyboard additions, making "5th Dimension" the most distinctive piece on the album. "Fly with You" is one of the two collaborative songs on "The Awakening."

 

Fi-Né collaborates with the popular independent artist Mandark from I Mean Us. Mandark's experimental electronic style complements Fi-Né's sound seamlessly. Additionally, Grammy-nominated keyboardist Miki Hayama contributes a euphoric solo, accompanied by the rhythmic drumming style of the percussionist. The intertwining vocal layers successfully merge vocals into the song from a more instrumental perspective. Finally, Grammy award-winning mastering engineer James Auwarter adds depth to the track. The album's concluding track, "Just Touch Me," was initially unveiled as a demo on StreetVoice. The official version showcases last year's Golden Melody Awards "Best New Artist" nominee, L8ching.
